You will ORDER a Camp Half Blood shirt we will all wear during our time together. Let us use our imagination in making our own bracelets, eat BLUE snacks/treats (Percy's favorite color), build your own shield for capture the flag activities, and use air clay to create game board pieces for the awesome game board you will create so we all can play. Common App Boot CampEnrichmentSeniors planning to apply to multiple colleges, especially private or selective schools, will likely use the Common App. This 2+ hour workshop offers hands-on support to help you set up your Common App account, tackle your personal statement, and navigate key sections of the application. By the end of the session, you’ll have made significant progress on your college application and feel confident in the decisions you’re making. Students should bring a laptop to set up their Common App accounts during the session. Can't attend the session? All registered students, whether present or not, will receive a copy of the slide presentation and planning resources within 5 days of the event. Creative Composers - Gr. 3-8Northwest Talent AcademyDo you want to experiment with creating your own music? This class will give you the chance to make your own beat patterns, melodies, and put it all together. We’ll start by exploring what makes us want to listen to a song again and again, from classical to pop music. We’ll look at the idea behind the music, the form, and how the composer used sound to let their idea shine through. We’ll experiment with telling a story through our own music, using hand instruments and keyboard instruments to help us work out the pitches and rhythms. Register directly with Wreck-Less Driving School This complete Drivers Education program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel training. Behind-the-wheel instruction will be scheduled individually and directly with Wreck-Less Driving Academy. Students must attend all 30 hours. Any missed classes must be made up in future sessions (at any Wreck-Less location). Students will receive a completion certificate once all 30 hours are complete. Eligible Students must be 14 1/2 years old before the first day of class. You will receive a welcome email with additional registration instructions from Wreck-Less 10 days before class begins. Emergency ChildcareThe school-age care for children of critical workers is intended for extreme circumstances in which no parent or guardian is at home, due to employment as a critical worker. Children of Tier I workers only will be cared for at no cost during the typical school hours. The Tier I list of eligible children is below: Healthcare and public health Law enforcement, public safety and first responders Food and agriculture Judicial Branch (essential services) National Guard (activated under a Governor Executive Order) Educators in pre-K through grade 12 settings School staff caring for children of critical workers Child care and school-age care providers Tier I: for more details on what is included in each sector listed below, view Appendix A Non Tier 1 critical workers will be accepted as space is available. The cost is $36 per day per child. Starting December 1, we will offer a sliding fee scale for free and reduced families who are in the non-tier 1 category. If you've not filled out the paperwork for free and reduced lunch, income verification is needed. Please reach out to the Program Coordinator directly for questions.
