Dungeons & Dragons Club (Grades 6–8)Join us for a year of imagination, adventure, and teamwork in the D&D Club! Students will create their own characters and dive into epic fantasy campaigns full of problem-solving, role-playing, and fun. No experience is needed—new players will learn everything from character building to rolling dice. Magichor Rehearsal Schedule: Meets Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 7:30–8:00 a.m. Start Date: Rehearsals begin Tuesday, October 6th Registration Fee: $49 Eligibility: Open to all 7th & 8th grade students — every experience level is welcome! Performances: 3 times each academic year (Early December, March, and May) Magichor: Monticello Middle School’s Before-School Vocal Ensemble Magichor is an extracurricular vocal ensemble designed for singers who are eager to expand their musical skills beyond the traditional choir classroom. Meeting twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30–8:00 a.m., Magichor provides students with a unique opportunity to engage in a focused, collaborative, and rewarding choral experience. All are welcome, regardless of previous singing experience! Whether you are a beginner looking to try choir for the first time or an experienced vocalist wanting to grow, this group is for you. Registration is $49 for the year. Through the study of small-group and chamber-style singing, students will develop greater musical independence, strengthen their vocal technique, improve music literacy skills, and gain confidence as performers and leaders. Rehearsals will emphasize artistry, teamwork, and musical excellence while encouraging students to take ownership of their individual contributions to the ensemble. Magichor will also serve as a bridge across Monticello Middle School’s music community, creating opportunities for collaboration with other music ensembles and fostering meaningful connections among students who share a passion for music-making. Performances throughout the school year will showcase the ensemble’s growth and provide additional opportunities to represent Monticello Middle School both within the school community and beyond. At its heart, Magichor is about more than singing. It is an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build lasting friendships, develop leadership skills, and experience the joy that comes from creating exceptional music together. By providing an engaging ensemble experience, Magichor will enrich our music program, strengthen school culture, and further establish Monticello Middle School as a place where students are encouraged to pursue excellence, creativity, and collaboration. Jazz Band is an instrumental ensemble made up of middle schoolers that like to have musical fun! We will play jazz, blues, funk, latin, and rock music, and we’ll learn how to improvise!
