Boulder Pointe Equestrian WEEK-LONG DAY CAMP (Ages 6-15) TIME:Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day Monday through Friday. Sorry we do not allowparents to stay for the day. However there is a “show” for the parents Fridays of weeklongcamps at 1:30pm! This is a great time to take pictures, watch your child ride and meet theirhorse they worked during the week. WHAT TO EXPECT:Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activitiessuch as; daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for thehorses (including bathing) and care for them at the end of the day. This is a great time forcampers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in astructured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar ridingexperience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. At the end of theweek, parents and family are invited to a performance to see what their camper has beenlearning! Please note that riding takes up about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consistof learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time onthe ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING?● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside/outside of the barn.● No flip flops.● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch● Treats for the horses if you want● Helmets are provided. Boulder Pointe Equestrian Camps are on rain or shine! There is an outdoor and indoor arena. Proper attire includes a sneaker or boot (closed toe with a heel), long pants and layers depending on the weather. Bug spray, sunscreen, nut-free snacks and a water bottle are also recommended. Please bring a nut-free bagged lunch and plenty of fluids to drink. ASTM/SEI certified helmets are provided. Signed waivers are required before riding.
