Beginner Level TrapshootingRecreationBeginner level trapshooting. For Students currently enrolled in Monticello schools, grades 7 & 8th. This course will cover: basic safety & technique, trap rules, scoring & etiquette. No experience necessary. Held at the Monticello Sportsmans Club, 7959 State Hwy 25 NE, Monticello, MN. Tuesdays at 6pm from April 28nd to May 26th. The cost will be $175. This will include instruction, trap rounds and 12 gauge ammo. Students must use program supplied ammo. Students will need to provide a 12 gauge shotgun that fits them. Closed toe shoes (no Croc’s), eye protection, ear protection and a trap pouch or vest. Come dressed for the weather, this is an outdoor class. Students must have a firearm safety certificate from the DNR prior to signing up. Bring your safety certificate to the 1st night.Summer 2026 -
Common App Boot CampEnrichmentSeniors planning to apply to multiple colleges, especially private or selective schools, will likely use the Common App. This 2+ hour workshop offers hands-on support to help you set up your Common App account, tackle your personal statement, and navigate key sections of the application. By the end of the session, you’ll have made significant progress on your college application and feel confident in the decisions you’re making. Students should bring a laptop to set up their Common App accounts during the session. Can't attend the session? All registered students, whether present or not, will receive a copy of the slide presentation and planning resources within 5 days of the event. Instructor: Shelly Hughes is a licensed School Counselor in Minnesota with a master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the University of Minnesota. With over 25 years of experience, Shelly has worked in higher education, private, and secondary settings, offering guidance on academic, college, and career planning. NewRed Cross Lifeguard Course- Blended Learning (15+)AquaticsThe Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years. Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 15 years; 2. Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both. 3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.Summer 2026 -

Summer Preschool ProgramEnrichmentYour child is invited to join Ms. Alysha for four weeks this summer to help your child maintain skills over the summer. The goal of Summer Preschool is to provide support for students with a focus on social-emotional and academic skills. Summer Preschool is July 6 - July 30, 2026, Monday - Thursday from 8:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. Snack will be provided. Please note: You will need to provide a cold lunch for your child, as well as transportation for your child. Parent Drop-off (8:00a.m.-8:15a.m.) and Pick-up (2:45p.m. - 3:00p.m.) will take place in the back parking lot and students will enter in Door 5. There is no bus transportation provided. All students need to be fully toilet trained. You can pay either in full at $599.00 or choose to pay in three payments with a $199.00 deposit and 2 payments of $200.00 due by June 15, 2026 and July 15, 2026. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Maximum is 20 students. Water Safety Instructor Blended Learning (Ages 16+)AquaticsNewBecome certified to teach American Red Cross swim lessons. Blended Learning combines online learning with on-site skill sessions for skill practice and assessment. Online completion is required prior to the first day of the course. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory. This class fee includes books. Age Prerequisite: Students must be 16 years of age by the last day of the class. Skill Prerequisites: Demonstration of swimming skills equivalent to Red Cross Level 4 swim lesson requirements. Students must be able to perform 25 yards of all strokes: back crawl, breaststroke, front crawl, elementary backstroke, sidestroke, butterfly(15 yards) as well as treading water for 1 minute.
