Let's go on a QUEST together and create our own rules and game pieces. You will ORDER a Camp Half Blood shirt we will all wear during our time together. Let us use our imagination in making our own bracelets, eat BLUE snacks/treats (Percy's favorite color), build your own shield for capture the flag activities, and use air clay to create game board pieces for the awesome game board you will create so we all can play. The last day we will do a simple Reader's Theater where they will perform for a few other classes, all week getting the props/backdrops ready to go for it.

Clay, Clay, Clay!! There are sooo many ways to create with clay - making it the most versitile material in the art room. In this course artists will get a chance to explore a variety of different clay mediums such as: air dry clay, modeling clay, paper clay, model magic, and more. All projects will use a variety of handbuilding techniques to create three dimensional masterpieces challenging skills and creativity to max. Let's get those hands dirty and dig into clay together!

We will do activities both on screen and unplugged, working on our design & critical thinking skills while building our teamwork and problem solving strategies. We will link computer science and robotics with art, science, game design, and storytelling. Each student will build a bot, and create their own interactive programs with code. This course is for beginners to confident users and beyond!

Seniors planning to apply to multiple colleges, especially private or selective schools, will likely use the Common App. This 2+ hour workshop offers hands-on support to help you set up your Common App account, tackle your personal statement, and navigate key sections of the application. By the end of the session, you’ll have made significant progress on your college application and feel confident in the decisions you’re making. Students should bring a laptop to set up their Common App accounts during the session. Can't attend the session? Instructor: Shelly Hughes is a licensed School Counselor in Minnesota with a master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the University of Minnesota. With over 25 years of experience, Shelly has worked in higher education, private, and secondary settings, offering guidance on academic, college, and career planning. As a mother of three teens/young adults, she brings both a parent's and educator's perspective to navigating the high school and college years.

Based off of Mary Shelley's classic novel, Henry Milner's Frankenstein; or the Man and the Monster, follows Frankenstein, who is living under the patronage of Prince Del Piombino, the Prince of Sicily. While the Prince and his sister Rosaura plan a party, Frankenstein is occupied with his ultimate work of science. After the monster is brought to life, Frankenstein is forced to deal with his creation, or rather, is stuck between ending the monster and trying to forget its existence all together. As Frankenstein continues to clash with the monster, two subplots are taking place during the main action. As the play continues, three plot lines converge, forcing all characters to devote their efforts to stop the monster from continuing his reign of terror on the Sicilian village. Do you want to experiment with creating your own music? This class will give you the chance to make your own beat patterns, melodies, and put it all together. We’ll start by exploring what makes us want to listen to a song again and again, from classical to pop music. We’ll look at the idea behind the music, the form, and how the composer used sound to let their idea shine through. We’ll experiment with telling a story through our own music, using hand instruments and keyboard instruments to help us work out the pitches and rhythms. There will be something for everyone, whether it’s fun bursts of making music in teams, playing music games, or beginning to understand the music theory behind the music we love, and creating our own music.

Students will learn about investigative techniques used to catch criminals through hands-on activities and case studies. Each day will focus on a different aspect of Forensic science, its practical use, and an example of how that technique was used in an actual criminal case.
