Firearms Safety Training ProgramEnrichmentFullThe Monticello Rod and Gun Club will be offering a Firearms Safety Training Program for students and adults. Students and a parent or guardian should plan on attending registration and the introductory class on April 6th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Classes will be held on April 6th, 7th, 9th, 13th, 14th, and 16th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Monticello Middle School Arena Gym entrance. Students will meet at the Monticello Rod and Gun Club on Saturday, April 18th from 8:30-noon for range day. Boys, girls and adults are welcome. You must be at least 11 years old. DO NOT bring firearms to class. New DNR Info: You do not have to bring a fee or stamped envelope to class anymore as it is done electronically after you pass the course (you’ll receive the address in class). Girls Flag FootballRecreationMonticello girls flag football is back for a second season, and registration is officially open for grades 7–12! The Minnesota Vikings have selected several teams across the entire state to sponsor—and Monticello is proudly one of them. Energy is building nationwide as the NFL pushes toward the 2028 Olympics, where Women’s Flag Football will debut as an official Olympic sport. This is the moment to jump in! The season is built for multi‑sport athletes, making it easy to play flag football alongside another spring sport.
