Royal Tea Academy - Gr. 2-6

Prepare to be treated like royalty as you step into the elegant world of afternoon tea! In this charming and hands-on class, you will explore the history of afternoon tea while learning and practicing proper manners and tea etiquette. Each day focuses on skills such as polite greetings, responding to an RSVP, writing thank-you notes, holding a teacup and saucer, and proper table manners. Students will also help prepare and bake simple, sweet, and savory treats. The week culminates in a Royal Tea Party, served on real china—where students are invited to dress in their fanciest attire and create a one-of-a-kind hat fit for royalty. The kitchen is 'nut-aware'; however, due to safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate food allergies.
