Write On! - Gr. 4-7
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an author? Whether you already enjoy creative writing, or it’s something you’d like to try, this class is for you! We will explore fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, as well as genres you are interested in (fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, etc.) We will look at the elements writers use to bring their work to life. Through writing prompts, blackout poetry, collaborative writing, and more, you will leave with a variety of tools to create immersive worlds for your readers.
Ash Bangia
Hello! My name is Ash Bangia, and I teach Music at the Eastview Education Center in Monticello. I am excited to share my love of music and storytelling this summer. I grew up in Buffalo, NY, and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Music Education. I have hosted and attended workshops for music composition, instrumental performance, and creative writing. Outside of school, I love reading, listening to live music, making art, and being outdoors. I live with my partner and an adorable cat and bunny.
